Installation, repairs & upkeep

Watering is only
part of the system.

A useful irrigation plan considers the property, the controls and the work needed to maintain it. Lex installs new systems and services existing ones for homes and larger grounds.

New system design & installation

Plan the lawn and landscape areas together, including the zones and how the system can be accessed for service. Irrigation can be coordinated with a new lawn or a larger outdoor project.

Repairs & watering adjustments

Get help with sprinkler heads, valves, timers and areas that aren’t watering as expected. Lex troubleshoots systems installed by other companies as well as its own installations.

Startup, backflow testing & winterization

Keep seasonal service in the plan. The team handles spring startup, backflow testing and winterization alongside repairs and adjustments during the watering season. Owner Matt Potts is listed as an Indiana-certified backflow tester.

Inside a Lex system

Built to water.
Designed to be serviced.

The approach is straightforward: how a system is put together matters when it’s time to look after it.

Key valves. One central location.

Lex brings key control valves together in a central manifold, rather than distributing them in separate valve boxes throughout the property. Pipes then carry water out to the different zones.

Grouping those valves gives the service team a clear place to begin when tracing a problem. It also keeps access to those controls part of the installation plan from the start.

How the arrangement works

Water supply

Connected through backflow protection.

Key control valves stay together.

Additional zones

Simplified illustration. The number and layout of zones depend on the property.

Through the seasons

A system to look after,
not just install.

Seasonal service and everyday adjustments help keep the system part of your property’s ongoing care.

Spring startup

Bring the system back into use for the watering season. Lex offers startup service and backflow testing as part of its irrigation work.

During the watering season

Address heads, valves, timers or watering areas that need attention. Changes elsewhere on the property can also be considered when adjusting the system.

Winterization

Plan for the end of the watering season as well as the beginning. Contact the team to arrange winterization and discuss any repairs that should be considered.
